Northern Liberties

Located just north of Old City, Northern Liberties is certainly one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. It was, in fact, Philadelphia's first suburb. The early liberties -- or settlements -- became home to artisans, tradesmen and manufacturing of everything from beer to iron. 

The lively "NoLibs" neighborhood today is home to a young, savvy crowd attracted by its prime location, infinite amenities, and more affordable real estate. The neighborhood really has everything, including 11 fitness spots, 10 salons, 8 gallery spaces, and 6 business just for your pets!
