Technically, Washington Square West, this trendy neighborhood borders Society Hill to the East, Bella Vista to the South and Broad St./Rittenhouse to the west. Rich with history and a sense of the present, the center jewel is Washington Square Park. One of five original parks planned by William Penn, the 6+ acre greenspace is today bordered by restored Georgian townhouses happily co-existing with gleaming modern architecture.
